How Technology Is Powering a Global Learning Revolution
CXOToday has engaged in an exclusive interview with US CPA & CA Mr. Kamal Chhabra, Founder & CEO of KC GlobEd
- As an expert with experience in both education and the corporate sector, how do you envision technology transforming finance education globally today?
We are witnessing a quiet revolution in financial education, unfold. Much of it is driven by technology. However, the foundation for this transformation was laid during the COVID-19 pandemic. It wasn’t about AI back then, but it was certainly about adaptability. The way education shifted online showed us how quickly things could change when there’s no choice but to evolve. Since then, technology has only accelerated that momentum. With mediums like AI, machine learning, and digital learning platforms, we now have the ability to personalize learning in a way that was never possible before. It’s no longer about one-size-fits-all lectures. Today, students can receive real-time feedback, follow hyper-personalized study plans, and prepare for global finance exams from wherever they are.
In the next few years, I believe finance education will become more immersive, multilingual, and learner-driven. Students won’t be limited to consuming information. Rather, they’ll interact with it, question it, and apply it instantly. That’s the kind of transformation that truly excites me. It would be something that would also bring us closer to our mission, i.e., making global education more accessible, meaningful, and aligned with the future of work.
We’re already seeing early experiments with AI avatars working in tandem with traditional instructors in foundational modules: creating scalable, consistent, and language-adaptable teaching formats. The rise of Agentic AI is even more exciting as it opens the door to learning companions that don’t merely deliver content but respond, guide, and grow with the learner’s pace and preferences.
- With the emergence of AI and online learning platforms, how is KC GlobEd utilizing technology to maximize learning outcomes for students studying international qualifications such as US CPA, CMA, EA or ACCA?
At KC GlobEd, we have built an integrated, AI-powered learning ecosystem grounded in real-time analytics and personalization. Our proprietary Tailored Education for Enhanced Efficiency (T.E.E.E) technology, which powers our Learning Management Software (LMS), lies at the core of it. The platform evaluates learners across five key parameters: learning style, study pattern, behavioral tendencies, strengths, and weaknesses – allowing it to deliver truly support. It dynamically generates hyper-personalized study plans, assesses learner strengths and areas for improvement, and streamlines content to reduce study time by up to 70%, all while maintaining depth and rigor.
Students preparing for global credentials like the US CPA, US CMA, US EA or UK ACCA benefit from intelligent content sequencing, modular breakdowns, and other features that continuously upscales their preparation journey. Our LMS integrates curated learning resources – right from bite-sized videos, ebooks, MCQs, scenario-based questions, and mock exams while also providing language-friendly learning options and continuous access to dedicated mentors. Instead of overwhelming students with static content, we believe in precision delivery that mirrors the demands of modern global examinations. We’re working on the development and integration of use-case-specific AI agents to further streamline content delivery and seamless consumption for learners and students – something that would also help our teachers along the way. Our vision is to eventually evolve into a comprehensive digital university for finance education in the near future – one that would be driven by data, backed by expert instruction, and deeply aligned with learner success.
- International career preparedness and worldwide mobility are significant issues for Indian students. How does KC GlobEd guarantee that its students are not only exam-ready but also globally career-ready?
At KC GlobEd, we go beyond preparing students for exams. We prepare them for the global workforce. Our certifications are tightly aligned with the hiring needs of over 1,800 Global Capability Centers (GCCs) in India that serve U.S. and European clients across finance, accounting, auditing, taxation, and compliance.
We take pride in being one of India’s early movers dedicated to building globally relevant talent in finance. A B.Com graduate, for example, can see their salary move from ₹2.5–3.5 lakhs to ₹6–9 lakhs annually after successfully pursuing the US EA qualification. Those with prior academic or professional qualifications, such as an MBA, can boost their earning potential further – professionals who complete the US CPA often command packages in the ₹12–15 lakh range. Similarly, finance professionals pursuing the US CMA see salary increases of 60–70% or more, reflecting their enhanced value in a global marketplace.
With more than 2 lakh roles still vacant in international finance, there is a real and growing demand for globally certified professionals, and we are actively preparing our learners to step into these roles across the U.S., Canada, Ireland, and beyond.
- In your opinion, how can technology help overcome the urban-rural divide in education, particularly for advanced-level certifications like CPA or EA?
Having grown up in a modest household with limited resources, I understand how geography and affordability can limit access to high-quality education. That understanding inspired the vision for KC GlobEd: making global finance education truly accessible, regardless of background. Instead of fragmented, high‑cost courses, we offer an all-access subscription: a “Netflix for finance education.” In most affordable price on earth.
With AI-powered platforms & cloud-based delivery, learners from rural towns to Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities can now prepare for globally recognized exams like the US CPA, US CMA, US EA or UK ACCA without incurring heavy expenses. We’re currently reaching students in over 128 countries, proving that when technology is used with purpose, it can bridge divides that once felt insurmountable.
- Most classic coaching arrangements continue to depend on one-size-fits-all instruction. How exactly does KC GlobEd incorporate personalization and feedback in real-time through technology?
At KC GlobEd, personalization isn’t an add-on. Instead, it’s built into the foundation of how we deliver learning. Our proprietary T.E.E.E. technology (Tailored Education for Enhanced Efficiency) powers a robust & diverse platform that adapts to each student’s learning journey. From the moment a learner joins, the platform uses behavioral analytics and performance tracking to identify their style, pattern, behaviour, strengths and weaknesses – in order to curate a personalized experience as per the aforesaid parameters.
Based on these insights, it automatically adjusts the study plan: recommending relevant video lectures, reading material, practice questions, and full-length mocks. This isn’t a static experience, as the system evolves with the learner, ensuring that they stay focused, efficient, and on track. We’ve also embedded a feedback module into our LMS, allowing students to flag challenges or doubts as they arise. Our support team responds swiftly: often within 24 hours, so that no learner feels stuck or overlooked. It’s this seamless blend of technology and human support that allows us to deliver truly student-centric learning at scale.
- Would you be willing to provide any recent advancements or technology-based projects at KC GlobEd that have substantially enhanced students’ engagement or performance?
Absolutely. One of the most meaningful advancements we’re currently implementing is multilingual learning support powered by large language models (LLMs). This feature will allow learners to access key content in their preferred language, helping break the language barrier that often holds students back, especially those from non-English-speaking regions. We’re also exploring immersive learning through virtual environments, where learners can engage with interactive simulations and AI-driven tutors in a gamified format. The idea is to replicate real-world finance scenarios and build deeper engagement through experience-based learning. Moreover, technology has helped us reduce average study time significantly while improving retention and exam performance. As advocates for high quality education, these are the outcomes that we’re truly proud of, because they make a tangible difference to the learner experience.
- How significant is mentorship within the online learning environment, and what position does structured mentorship occupy within your model of education at KC GlobEd?
Mentorship plays an essential role in how we approach learning at KC GlobEd. In a digital setting, where students can often feel disconnected, having someone to guide, support, and challenge them can make all the difference. That’s why structured mentorship isn’t an added feature but a core pillar of our model. We’ve built a strong network of over 280 mentors, including C-suite professionals, senior practitioners, and domain experts in accounting, finance, auditing, and taxation. They bring real-world experience into the virtual classroom, through advice, live masterclasses, case discussions, and career-oriented guidance. At KC GlobEd, mentorship is integrated into the learner journey, helping students stay focused, motivated, and aligned with industry expectations. And most importantly, it creates the human connection that every online learner needs: especially when preparing for global certifications.
- As the trends in global hiring are shifting post-pandemic, how are global credentials transforming and how can Indian students equip themselves to remain relevant in tech-driven, borderless job markets?
We’re in the middle of a major shift. Global finance roles today demand a lot more than traditional accounting knowledge. Certifications like the US CPA, US CMA, and US EA are constantly evolving – bringing in modules on data analytics, automation, ESG, and even blockchain. That’s a clear signal: employers are looking for finance professionals who can think strategically, work with data, and adapt to technology-driven environments.
For Indian students, this is an opportunity. The world is actively hiring skilled professionals from India, but staying relevant means staying updated. It’s not enough to merely clear an exam as you also have to build a mindset that’s future-ready. At KC GlobEd, we ensure that learning stays aligned with what the market needs. Where the curriculum includes it, we introduce students to tools like Power BI, Tableau, and foundational concepts in AI. But more importantly, we help them think critically, stay curious, and build confidence to thrive in roles across borders and time zones.
The world is wide open. But it belongs to those who are prepared.
